Provide surgical and technical support for interventional radiology procedures in an outpatient center. Responsibilities include preparing procedure rooms, assisting physicians during sterile procedures, and managing patient data and billing codes.
Requires a high school diploma, valid BLS certification, and at least one year of experience as a surgical technologist. ARRT or CST certification is preferred.

As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for providing support to ensure efficient operation of our outpatient center. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.
Prepares patients and procedure rooms for radiology procedures Reviews patient orders to determine necessary materials and sets up/cleans procedure rooms Assists with patient prep, transfers, and positioning Inputs patient data into the C-Arm and assists physicians during interventional procedures, maintaining sterile technique Complies with HIPAA, draws up and labels IV medications, and processes/archives x-ray images Manages equipment maintenance, supply inventory, and hazardous waste disposal May serve as Radiation Safety Officer and assist with accreditation surveys Ensures effective communication with physicians Assists with patient billing, verifying procedure charges, CPT, and ICD9 codes
Required License/Experience/Skills Proven working experience as a surgical technologist Proficient in maintaining a sterile field Experienced in scrubbing in for surgical procedures Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare regulations Working knowledge of interventional equipment High school diploma Valid BLS Certification Surgical technologist experience: 1 year Preferred License/Experience/Skills ARRT / CST Certification
