The specialist performs system-wide credentialing for medical staff and advanced practice providers in compliance with bylaws and regulatory requirements. They also support the Credentials Committee by managing agendas, minutes, and information dissemination.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position. Candidates must have at least one year of experience in credentialing or medical staff services.
The Credentialing Specialist performs system-wide credentialing functions for medical staff and advanced practice provider applications for two medical staffs according to the Medical Staff Bylaws, related manuals and policies ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Responsible for maintenance and confidentiality of all credentialing documentation, including accuracy of electronic credentials file. Supports the System-wide Credentials Committee by developing the agenda, completing minutes, performing follow up and disseminating information to the members. Department Description
