Perform radiographic procedures and operate imaging equipment to assist in radiologic diagnosis. Manage patient intake, collect medical histories, and collaborate with providers to ensure accurate imaging results.
Requires completion of a formal Radiography program and BLS certification. ARRT Registration is required at hire or within a specified timeframe after hire.
This is a PRN position.
The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist I performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Is responsible for performing technical procedures that may require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. They perform patient intake by collecting medical history and must be able to answer patient questions regarding the imaging procedure. They follow specific instructions from providers on what areas to image and guide patients through the imaging process safely and comfortably. They operate imaging equipment proficiently, have a firm understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body, demonstrate knowledge of proper imaging techniques in all patient populations and may confer with Providers on the results of imaging tests and collaborates to determine whether additional images are required.
