The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment plans for inpatient populations. They focus on helping patients regain functional independence in activities of daily living and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree and an active license from the Iowa Department of Public Health. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized OT treatment plans for inpatient populations Assist patients in regaining functional independence in activities of daily living (ADLs) Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques and home safety Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes Document patient progress accurately and comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards
Education: Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree Certification/License: Active, Occupational Therapist license issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or within three (3) months from date of hire
