Registered Nurse (RN) Neurology Acute Care/Step Down - Weekender

• About Lerner Tower 4 – Neurology Acute Care Step Down Unit Lerner Tower 4 is a 30 bed adult inpatient care unit that primarily provides care for neurology and neurosurgical patients.
• The newly remodeled unit is also a neuro intermediate care unit, in which stepdown acuity level neuro patients can be cared for.
• Additionally, Tower 4 has a unique collaboration with NSU, the neuro ICU.
• Management as well as staff from both areas meet frequently to discuss issues, work on process improvement and patient satisfaction.

• Neurology (Lerner Tower 4) Weekender Position Individuals hired for a Weekender position are required to work two (2) 12-hour shifts between 7:00 PM Friday and 7:00 AM Monday.
• In return for this commitment, Weekenders will be compensated at 1.5 times their regular hourly rate for these shifts.
• Individuals in Weekender roles qualify for full-time medical and dental benefits, whereas eligibility for all other benefits is at part-time levels.

• Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients. 1 year of

• Requirements: Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Minimum of Diploma/Associate’s Degree in nursing from accredited program.

• Requirements: Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
