Perform a variety of administrative and clinical support functions in an outpatient cardiology setting, including patient triage and registration. Conduct medical procedures such as taking vitals, performing EKGs, and administering medications under provider direction.
Requires a high school diploma, 6-12 months of healthcare experience, and BLS certification from the American Heart Association. A Medical Assistant program certificate or CMA certification is preferred.

Under general supervision the Medical Assistant performs a wide variety of medical and clinical support functions in an outpatient clinical setting, such as providing initial patient triage, registration, and administrative services, assists with direct patient care, and performs medical procedures of a routine nature as determined by established protocol, polices, and procedures.
for Medical Assistant include, but not limited to, recording, and updating medical histories and contact information in patient files, scheduling patient appointments, scheduling of procedures, obtaining medication authorization, reminding of patient appointments, performing standard care procedures such as checking vitals, performing tests, answers messages, pre chart work, and abstracting needed documentation. Must be able to maintain efficiency in a high volume, fast-paced environment with a pleasant disposition with patients and team members.
