Provide basic nursing care and assist patients with activities of daily living under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Monitor and report changes in patient condition, including vital signs and pain levels, to the nursing staff.
Must be a high school graduate with current CA CNA certification, BLS, and MAB. Recent experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
Overview As a member of the health care team responsible for providing basic nursing care to patients under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team or unit.
Assists patients with activities of daily living and helps to promote a safe, comfortable environment that fosters the physiological and psychosocial well-being of the patient. Notifies R.N. and/or L.V.N. of relevant changes in the patient’s condition including, but not limited to changes in V.S., level of consciousness and/or pain, breathing pattern, drainage, amount of bleeding, mood, or increase and decrease in capabilities/limitations.
Recent experience in an acute care setting preferred. Graduate from high school or its equivalent. Current CA C.N.A certification, BLS and MAB.
