Pediatric Surgery - Physician Research Fellow

• CHOC Specialists is a private pediatric subspecialty group with 26 pediatric subspecialties.

• We are pleased to offer a two-year research fellowship with the Division of Pediatric General & Thoracic Surgery at CHOC and UC-Irvine.
• Research fellows will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of studies, including basic science and translational projects, pediatric general surgery outcomes, and trauma, fetal, quality, and health disparities endeavors.
• Research fellows will have no shortage of high-quality research opportunities available to them.
• Candidates should be general surgery residents interested in pursuing a career in pediatric surgery.
• Preference will be given to candidates who will have completed their PGY3 clinical training.
• Maintenance of clinical proficiency and additional exposure will occur through participation in the call pool.
• CHOC is a high-volume, free-standing, rapidly growing children’s health system.
• We are an academic division of 10 pediatric surgeons with an excellent record of close mentorship for our trainees.

• Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
