Repository Annotator

• The University of Pittsburgh's Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology is seeking personnel to annotate the melanoma specimen bank.
• They will work closely with laboratory members and the PI of our research group, while supporting our research goals of aiding in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of melanoma.
• To facilitate the success of these goals, the incumbent will be responsible for the organization and quality of samples from >8,000+ melanoma patients.
• All samples must be handled per protocol, and with care, during organization to guarantee the samples are maintained at the highest quality for collaborators.
• Tasks primarily include inventorying and updating our current freezer logs.
• The incumbent must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office to create accurate and clear inventory logs for the laboratory.
• This position will require working with liquid nitrogen freezers and lifting full freezer racks for organizational purposes.
• Additional duties may be requested to fulfill the goal of this position

An associate's is required for this position and a Bachelor's degree is Preferred.
