The Pharmacy Technician III is responsible for filling, preparing, and delivering medications while ensuring safe and effective medication use. They provide advanced technical support, train new employees, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED, Commonwealth of Virginia Pharmacy Technician Registration, and PTCB or ExCPT certification. Candidates must have at least 2 to 4 years of relevant experience and the ability to perform medium to heavy physical tasks.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
4 years of relevant experience, or 2 years of employment required Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details.
Works within a team to achieve patient and team goals. Participates in the onboarding of other team members. Shares and initiates regular and professional communication with co-workers. Facilitates and participates in regular staff meetings. Demonstrates a willingness to adjust activities to accommodate the needs of team members/internal customers. Resolves conflicts independently, as appropriate. Accepts responsibility for actions and acts positively upon feedback from others.
