Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult Med/Surg patients on a 30-bed unit, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of care.
• Monitor patient status, respond to changes in condition, and escalate to the multidisciplinary team as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, with attention to safety, dosing accuracy, and documentation.
• Perform ongoing physical assessments, wound care, IV therapy, and post-operative care as applicable.
• Document in the electronic health record and communicate clearly with patients, families, and health care team.
• Collaborate with nursing colleagues and ancillary staff to coordinate care, ensure patient safety, and maintain unit efficiency and patient flow.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Georgia (or ability to obtain state licensure as applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Med/Surg within a mid-large hospital or Level 1 trauma setting
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Ability to work night shift on a 2x3 schedule and meet unit expectations
• No scheduled time off (No RTO) during the assignment
