Must be Board Certified or Eligible in General Surgery with an active Texas medical license or IMLC. Experience at a Level I or II Trauma Center is required, and Surgical Critical Care fellowship training is preferred.
Join a High-Volume, Physician-Led Acute Care Surgery Program SAMGI is seeking a full-time Trauma & Acute Care Surgeon to join our established surgical team at The Hospitals of Providence East Campus, a Level II Trauma Center serving the greater El Paso region. Schedule & Practice Structure 12 day shifts and 12 night shifts per month Shared coverage model with collegial surgical team Dedicated support from APPs and hospital staff Mix of operative trauma and emergency general surgery cases Emphasis on efficient workflows, communication, and quality care delivery
Provide trauma and emergency general surgery coverage Evaluate and manage critically injured and acute surgical patients Perform operative trauma and emergency surgical procedures Collaborate closely with team surgeons, APPs, and consultants Participate in trauma quality improvement and program initiatives Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery Active Texas medical license or IMLC Current or recent experience at a Level I or Level II Trauma Center required Surgical Critical Care fellowship training or certification preferred Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and team-oriented approach
