The HCA provides direct support to clients in withdrawal management, including monitoring vital signs and conducting hourly rounds. They assist with admissions and maintain a safe, professional environment while communicating observations to nursing staff.
Candidates must have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and the ability to pass a background check. A minimum of six months freedom from chemical use is required, with a preference for prior patient care experience.

The Health Care Assistant (HCA) provides direct support to clients and nursing staff within AICDC’s Withdrawal Management services. This role works closely with clients, fellow HCAs, and medical staff to ensure compassionate, quality client care in a safe and professional environment. Responsibilities include assisting with client admissions, monitoring client status, taking vital signs, maintaining unit standards, and communicating relevant information to nursing staff. The HCA also supports daily unit operations and performs additional duties as assigned by the Lead Health Care Assistant, Nurse on Duty, or Charge Nurse.
