Responsibilities

• Conduct initial PT evaluations and ongoing reassessments; develop and implement evidence-based plans of care for adult inpatients and home health patients per physician orders.
• Administer and progress PT interventions, including therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, transfer and position techniques, ROM, and manual therapy as appropriate within scope.
• Monitor patient responses, document progress in the medical record, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team; ensure timely, accurate charting and compliance with privacy regulations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and staff to support discharge planning and safe transitions of care; provide patient and family education on exercises, safety, and home programs.
• Participate in weekend inpatient duties on a rotating basis (every 5–7 weeks) and support IP coverage as needed; no on-call requirement.

Requirements

• Active Physical Therapist license in California
• BLS certification
• Women’s health experience and/or certification or currently working toward PRPC or WCS - 3–5 years of PT experience preferred
• Ability to work in an inpatient acute care setting and participate in weekend coverage as required
• Availability to start on 06/22/2026 for a 13-week assignment
