The Medical Records Coordinator is responsible for establishing and maintaining organized electronic health records using AllScripts. Key duties include scanning, indexing lab results, and processing requests for patient health information while ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with a preference for three years of clerical and data entry experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to handle sensitive medical information securely are required.

As part of AllCare Health, this position focuses their time and effort on supporting AllCare Medical Group Practices by managing patient’s health records. The Medical Records Coordinator is to establish and maintain organized medical records electronically, according to acceptable policies and procedures.
1. Gather and import appropriate records into AllScripts. 2. Scan and index lab results, diagnostic studies, reports and chart notes. 3. Follows health system requirements, policy and standards on confidentiality

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Job requires specialized computer skills. Must be adept at using various applications including database, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, graphics, word processing, presentation creation/editing, communicate by e-mail and use scheduling software.
Ability to solve practical problems and work with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear.
