About the role

Provide professional nursing care to patients within the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include assessing, reassessing, and delegating patient care, as well as performing triage.

We are looking for PRN Registered Nurses to work in the Emergency Department

Job Description

Provides professional nursing care to patients while in the Emergency Department. The Registered Nurse may perform Triage after documentation of appropriate education. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing, reassessing, and delegation of patients while in the Emergency Department.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
  • Current and valid NC or compact state Registered Nurse license to practice professional nursing.
  • BLS Certification.
  • ACLS and PALS Certification (required at first opportunity after hire)
  • Required to demonstrate competence in the performance of duties specific to all age groups and patients.

Preferred: CEN or CCRN, TNCC

Experience

New graduates that have mentored in CCU or ED will be considered. 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care medical-surgical unit or in a critical care area is preferred.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of a professional nursing school with a valid NC or compact state RN license and BLS certification. ACLS and PALS certifications are required shortly after hire, and experience in acute care or critical care is preferred.
