Position Overview: Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Primary Care Physician to fill an opening with a network of federally qualified community health centers located in the Bronx, New York. Key Responsibilities: Examines or conducts tests on patients to provide information on medical conditions. Analyzes records, reports, test results, or examination information to diagnose the medical condition of the patient. Prescribes or administers treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury. Explain procedures and discuss test results on prescribed treatments with patients. Collects, records, and maintains patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination reports. Refers patient to medical specialist or other practitioner when necessary. Complete and submit appropriate progress reports to the CMO. Advises patients and the community concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention. Maintains strict confidentiality and follows federal/state and organization regulations in this regard. Plans, implements or administers health programs or standards in the organization for information, prevention, or treatment of injury or illness. Attends scheduled monthly and quarterly medical staff meetings as well as education meetings. Agrees to see patients irrespective of their medical condition/diagnosis. Provides 24-hour on-call service on a rotating weekly basis. Conducts research to study anatomy and develop or test medications, treatments, or procedures to prevent or control disease injury. Education: MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an accredited residency program.
