Geri-Psych RN - FT (7a-7p)

• Description Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation and evaluation.
• The RN is responsible for the direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering the patient care.
• The quality of care given will be in keeping with the policies and procedures of nursing to meet the health care needs of the patients and their families.
• Provide age specific care as planning made up of geriatric patients.
• Provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcome.
• A positive attitude and good communication skills will be required.
• Maintain good working relationship among staff, co-workers and customers.
• Perform other nursing duties as required.

Requirements

Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Licenses: Current AL State Nursing License; BLS & ACLS Other: At least one year of hospital nursing and geriatric psych experience is preferred. Computer skills are a must. Good leadership skills, critical thinking skills and good communication skills are required.
