Market context
In Illinois, Special Procedures Tech II openings often draw candidates with current radiology credentials and comfort with on-call coverage, since hospitals need staff who can support interventional and diagnostic procedures. This role is competitive because it requires a valid Illinois RT license, ARRT and IEMA certifications, CPR, ACLS within six months, and prior radiology experience; the on-call expectation also narrows the pool.
