The Peer Specialist provides mentoring, advocacy, and direct assistance with daily living activities for residents. They are responsible for coordinating care, leading recreational events, and helping residents access community resources and benefits.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and lived experience with homelessness, substance abuse, or HIV/AIDS. Two years of experience as a Peer Specialist or Counselor working with individuals with special needs is required.

The Peer Specialist is responsible for providing mentoring, advocacy, care coordination, support, and direct assistance with the activities of daily living to the residents using his/her personal life experience and knowledge of substance abuse and mental health treatment, along with an understanding of the HIV/AIDS population.
