The Medical Assistant supports providers by greeting patients, managing clinical flow, and assisting with medical procedures using sterile techniques. They are also responsible for patient charting, recording vitals, and maintaining a clean, compliant clinical environment.
Candidates should have a high school diploma and preferably a degree from an accredited Medical Assisting program or at least two years of clinical experience. Proficiency in medical terminology, HIPAA/OSHA regulations, and Microsoft Office is required.
The Medical Assistant works under the guidance of the Center Manager and the Provider(s), to greet patients; relay telephone messages to the appropriate recipients; assist with procedures; and perform various other assigned clinical responsibilities, utilizing sterile and aseptic techniques
