Responsibilities
Deliver cardiopulmonary diagnostic procedures and a full range of respiratory care across ages from newborn to geriatric.
Assess, implement, monitor, and adjust respiratory therapy modalities (oxygen, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, ventilation support) as prescribed.
Manage ventilators and airway equipment, including monitoring patient responses and optimizing therapy.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, participate in emergency coverage, and support in-patient, out-patient, and emergency care areas.
Document care in the electronic medical record; EPIC experience is preferred and may be needed for timely charting.
Contribute to care for high-acuity neonates when appropriate and support the team with neonatal and obstetric respiratory needs as required.
Requirements
Unrestricted license to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program Advanced Provider (NRP).
