The RN provides professional nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical unit, including assessments, implementing care plans, and administering therapies. They are also responsible for supervising nursing assistants and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction through diligent monitoring and communication.
Candidates must be a Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) in Illinois and hold a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the AHA. A college diploma in nursing is required.
The Medical Surgical staff nurse is a Registered Nurse (RN) who uses the nursing process to provide nursing care to patients receiving therapies within the multidisciplinary activities of the M/S Unit. The RN supervises work assignments of the nursing assistants and is responsible to the Nurse Manager. The RN will provide professional nursing care for all patients of the unit according to the established standards, practices and philosophies of Carle Richland Memorial Hospital (CRMH).
