Provide direct, compassionate hands-on support to patients, including hygiene care, vital signs monitoring, and assistance with daily living activities. Collaborate with nursing staff to report changes in patient condition and maintain a safe healing environment.
Requires a California Certified Nursing Assistant (CA CNA) license and AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Candidates must have completed an accredited CNA program and possess at least one year of acute hospital experience.
Provides personal hygiene care and assistance to patients promptly and documents and reports any unusual observations to the nurse in charge. Takes Vital Signs promptly and reports any abnormalities to the nurse in charge. Assists in pressure sore prevention by utilizing the turning schedule every 2 hours for patients with pressure sores or at risk of developing one. Participates in restorative care with a focus on ambulation and transfers, with or without an assistive device, to maintain an optimal level of functioning, and provides passive/active range-of-motion exercises to prevent contractures. Reports and records any changes in the patient's condition, vital signs, or behavior of the patients and any unusual incident immediately to the nurse in charge and assists in intervention as directed. Performs other duties as assigned Job Requirements Required CNA training and education in an accredited CNA certification program required. One year acute hospital experience required California Certified Nursing Assistant (CA CNA License) required. AHA Basic Life Support Cert (AHA BLS) required.
