Directs and leads the care of residents in a long-term care setting, ensuring adherence to safety codes and nursing standards. Supervises direct care staff and manages specialized programs for falls and pressure sores.
Must possess a valid Florida LPN license and have knowledge of nursing practices and regulations for care facilities. A Level 2 background screening is required for employment.
Required Knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities. Supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of teamwork and team concept. Willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices. Able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Able to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
