The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for collecting blood, urine, throat, and nasal specimens while ensuring proper patient identification and specimen integrity. They also process specimens for internal distribution or shipment to reference labs and maintain departmental supply inventory.
Applicants must have a High School diploma or GED and are required to obtain Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire. A current state Phlebotomy certificate is preferred.
