Operate radiographic equipment to perform diagnostic exams, including CT portables and C-arm studies, under the supervision of a Radiologist. Ensure patient safety and quality imaging standards across diverse patient populations from neonates to geriatrics.
Must be ARRT certified in Radiology or registry eligible within six months and obtain CPR certification within 30 days of hire. A degree from an AMA or JCERT approved school of Radiologic Technology is preferred.

Functions: Area of Responsibilities
*Performs radiographic exams as assigned under the supervision of a registered technologist, i.e., CT portables, C-arm, general and emergency radiographic studies.
*Demonstrates competency in patient care according to the age of the patient and population served: neonate infant, toddler, preschool, school age, adolescent, adult and geriatric.
*Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development.
*Is knowledgeable of hospital policy and procedures; safety, life safety, security, equipment, utilities, disaster preparedness, hazardous materials and waste. Follows standard precautions.
*Competence in scheduling exams in the CR unit, as well as the use of PACS and Web PACS
*Performs quality exams consistently to meet standards set by the radiologist.
*Responsible for assisting during fluoroscopic procedures and other special type procedures.
*Demonstrates the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of patient's needs.
*Demonstrates understanding of the range of treatment needed by these patients (age and diagnosis).
*Responsible for assisting and keeping radiology equipment and accessories in satisfactory operating condition.
*Responsible for CQI related duties and QA/QC duties as assigned. Understands and participates and The Joint Commission requirements
*Responsible for individual continuing education.
*Completes and assists in all orientation of new employees.
*Demonstrates knowledge of pain management and responds appropriately.
*Monitors and assures patient safety
Employee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program. Is responsible to detect, observe, and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Hotline.
