Provides mental health therapy services to clients in a behavioral health agency using evidence-based practices. Responsibilities include developing treatment goals, performing clinical assessments, and coordinating care with psychiatrists and community resources.
Requires a Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy and an independent Ohio licensure. Candidates must have experience providing behavioral healthcare to children, adolescents, and families.
Appropriate Independent Ohio licensure, required. $42/hr Flat Rate Must maintain a minimum commitment of 16 hours per month, scheduled consistently across the month to support team coverage and continuity of care. Required to attend all mandatory trainings and educational sessions specific to the Psychiatric Crisis Department to maintain competency and compliance. Must be flexible and willing to work variable shifts, including days, evenings/nights, weekends, and holidays, based on departmental needs.
Summary: Provides mental health therapy services to clients in a behavioral health agency setting, utilizing evidence-based practices to promote recovery and improve overall well-being.
Essential Functions: Assists in developing specific, realistic, and measurable treatment goals and objectives. Accurately assesses and documents client presenting problems, history, symptomology, mental status, and diagnosis. Prescribes initial interventions in a timely manner. Employs strategies of intervention that are consistent with empirically supported treatments and consistent with program expectations. Remains current in general knowledge of psychopharmacology in pediatric behavioral healthcare and collaborates consistently with team psychiatrist. Coordinates client care with other service providers and community resources to assure continuity of care. Completes clinical charting and other related administrative paperwork in accordance with policy standards. Education Requirement: Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy, required. Doctorate, preferred. Licensure Requirement: Appropriate Independent Ohio License, preferred Certifications: (not specified) Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, peers and community representatives.
