About the role

The Peer Specialist provides unconditional, non-judgmental support to assigned consumers and families participating in Adult Behavioral Services. They work collaboratively with Care Managers.

$17.51-$19.00 per hour! (depending on related experience)

Nature of Work

The Peer Specialist provides unconditional, non-judgmental support to assigned consumers and families upon request who are participating with Adult Behavioral Services. The Peer Specialist works collaboratively with Care Managers.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED, must be 18 years of age.
  • Must possess an understanding of or be willing to learn the principles of recovery and resiliency model. Candidates must be a current and/or previous recipient of mental health and/or substance abuse services or the loved one or friend of a recipient. Must be Certified Peer Specialist or Provisional Certified Peer Specialist.
  • Must have a current, valid driver's license that meets Agency guidelines.
  • Must meet the requirements of the Mental Health Regulations regarding, Justice Center Staff Exclusion List clearance, and Justice Center Criminal History Review for criminal convictions.
