The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for the comprehensive care of mothers and newborns during the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods. Key duties include performing physical exams, managing diagnostic procedures, and prescribing necessary interventions and medications.
The licensed medical professional (LMP) is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, assisting, and evaluation of antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care of the mother and newborn patient. The LMP performs physical exams, collects and documents data, manages, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders and schedules laboratory studies and professional consultations, and prescribes appropriate interventions and medications.
Tuesday-Friday with Saturdays as required.
