A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience working in behavioral health or substance use treatment is preferred.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Intake Coordinator to manage the admission and discharge process for individuals entering and completing care at our facility. As the first point of contact, the Intake Coordinator helps ensure all required documentation, assessments, and communication are completed accurately and efficiently, creating a smooth and supportive experience for clients, families, and staff. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and complete admission paperwork, collect required documentation (e.g., photo ID, insurance information), and collaborate with nursing staff during client onboarding Conduct level-of-care assessments and complete PCPC or ASAM documentation for admissions, continued stays, and discharges Manage insurance-related processes, including precertifications and utilization review (UR) documentation Assist SCA clients with the Medical Assistance application process, including communication with representatives and submission of required forms Maintain communication with outside stakeholders such as probation/parole officers or employers with proper client consent Organize and distribute client photos, label with MR numbers, and maintain accurate filing procedures Support discharge planning for detox-only clients, including scheduling outpatient appointments and coordinating with clinical and nursing teams Conduct phone and in-person pre-screens, enter data into the electronic clinical record system, and schedule assessments or referrals Ensure compliance with confidentiality, licensing, and accreditation standards Complete required trainings and perform additional duties as assigned
