Overview Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit (ICU), travel assignment in Bay City, Michigan. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement an individualized plan of care for ICU patients.
• Provide bedside nursing care and execute medical orders; supervise delegated tasks to Nurse Assistants and other support staff.
• Lead and mentor team members, precept new staff, and coordinate assignments to ensure proper patient placement.
• Participate in patient conferences and discharge/transfer planning; communicate prognosis and education to patients and families.
• Monitor for changes in patient conditions and evaluate the effectiveness of the care plan; adjust as needed.
• Weekend coverage: at least two shifts every other weekend; no on-call requirement.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in Michigan - 2+ years ICU experience (required)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (required)
• Comfortable floating to ED and step-down units (required)
• Nice-to-have certifications/documents: TCAR, TNCC, CCRN, SCRN
• Travel experience (preferred)
• Neuro surgical experience (preferred)
• Open heart experience (preferred)
