Responsibilities

• Deliver direct bedside nursing care in the ER, including patient assessment, triage, monitoring, and response to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per physician orders; monitor for adverse reactions
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record; communicate with the ED team to coordinate patient care plans
• Ensure patient safety and comfort, manage pain, and implement infection control practices
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other care team members; assist with patient disposition and discharge planning as appropriate
• Prepare and transport patients for imaging, procedures, or transfer when needed; provide education to patients and families

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license in California
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Nursing degree from an accredited program (RN) and eligibility to practice in the state
• Prior ER/acute care experience preferred; capable of functioning in a fast-paced ER environment
• Ability to work the stated shift (3x12 nights) and accommodate travel
