Provide emotional support and treatment assistance to individuals struggling with substance abuse through individual and group sessions. Collaborate with licensed counselors to develop treatment plans and maintain accurate client records.
Requires a high school diploma, with a bachelor's degree in psychology or social work preferred. Candidates should have knowledge of recovery principles and proficiency in EHR systems.
As a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA), you will play a vital role in assisting licensed counselors and therapists in providing comprehensive support and treatment to individuals struggling with substance abuse and chemical dependency issues. You will work closely with clients, families, and the treatment team to facilitate a safe and supportive environment conducive to recovery and rehabilitation.
Tasks with actual blood/body fluid exposure are not included in this position’s duties as the job requires counseling only.
Duties: And responsibilities:
• Assist in managing crises and emergencies that may arise during treatment, providing immediate support and notifying appropriate personnel when necessary.
• Work collaboratively with licensed counselors, therapists, medical professionals, and other team members to ensure comprehensive care and a holistic approach to recovery.
