Registered Nurse (RN) – Surgical Trauma PCU/Critical Care & Burn Unit – Full-time, Night Shift Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 6:45 pm – 7:15 am · Positions require 12‑hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
Team members may be placed on call for regularly scheduled shifts in response to census fluctuations.
Department highlights: · Justin 5 is a 35‑bed Surgical Trauma Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Burn Unit.
On August 10, the unit will open with 18 surgical trauma PCU beds and 9 burn beds, with plans to expand to the full 35 beds later in the year.
This unit provides higher‑acuity surgical trauma and burn care, including treatment in a dedicated hydrotherapy procedure room for the burn population.

Here’s What You Need Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly ACLS – within 90 days of hire required TNCC or ATCN - within 12 months of hire preferred CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 60 days of hire 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required PCU and/or Critical Care experience preferred – will consider ED experience Burn unit experience a plus In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism have basic computer skills using medical management application systems What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
