The Substance Abuse Counselor provides treatment, support, and crisis intervention to patients recovering from addictions. Responsibilities include conducting individual and group sessions, performing diagnostic evaluations, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create personalized treatment plans.
Candidates must have a high school diploma (bachelor's preferred) and at least two years of experience in substance use disorder interventions. Required certifications include state-mandated counseling licensure, CPR, and de-escalation and restraint certification.
