The technologist is responsible for explaining procedures to patients and performing nuclear medicine exams. They must process and analyze image quality while maintaining equipment and following safety protocols.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited radiologic technology or nuclear medicine program and hold ARRT or CNMT certifications. A CMRT license and BCLS certification are also required prior to providing patient care.
