Performs radiographic diagnostic and interventional procedures in the interventional service line under the order of a licensed practitioner. Ensures optimal patient care by applying departmental standards and protocols.
Requires graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program and at least 2 years of experience in Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology. Must hold current CRT, ARRT, and Fluoroscopy certifications, as well as BLS and ACLS.
Performs radiographic diagnostic and interventional procedures in the interventional service line, upon the order of a licensed practitioner. Provides for optimal patient care applying departmental standards and protocols. Exercises professional judgment in performance of IIS services. Provides appropriate patient care and recognized patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Qualifications 1. Graduate of an accredited educational program in Radiologic Technology 2. Minimum of 1 year experience in both Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology required. 3. 2 years experience of Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology License/Certification/Registration Requirements 1. Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT). 2. Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). 3. Current Fluoroscopy Certificate. BLS required ACLS required. Maintains up-to-date licensure and registrations, certifications and health records as applicable to position. (Examples: Professional license/certification, CPR certification, ACLS certification, TB Screening completed on time with minimal reminders.) ACLS and BLS are requirements of this position A total of 24 hours of Education Leave time will be allowed every 2 years to maintain the following radiology licensing / permits required for the position Continuing education credits earned while maintaining both California Fluoroscopy and California Diagnostic Radiology Technology permits are eligible for use in maintaining the ARRT license.
