The scientist will study estrogen receptor regulation of innate immunity in UTI pathogenesis using molecular and immunological approaches. Responsibilities include performing research, analyzing data, writing manuscripts and SOPs, and mentoring students in the lab.
Candidates must hold a Master's degree with at least two years of research experience or a PhD in Biomedical Sciences. Ability to design and perform experiments independently with minimal supervision is required.

Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Research Scientist to study role of estrogen receptor regulation of innate immunity in the urinary tract infection (UTI) pathogenesis. The successful candidate will utilize molecular and immunological approaches to understand the significance of membrane and nuclear estrogen receptor signaling in regulation of inflammation in the bladder and kidney during initiation of UTI.
• Prior experience in flow cytometry including sorting and data analysis, cell culture, bioinformatics and confocal microscopy would be a distinct advantage
