Responsibilities

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of ICU patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; administer medications and monitor patient status.
• Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines.
• Utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Document care accurately in patient records and participate in care planning, handoffs, and discharge planning as appropriate.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in California (active) and ability to practice in the ICU setting.
• ICU nursing experience or demonstrated competency in critical care environments.
• BLS certification; ACLS certification preferred or as required by unit policy.
• Ability to perform in a 12-hour night shift schedule and work in a hospital setting.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, evidence-based practice, and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to participate in credentialing, orientation, and onboarding processes for a travel assignment.
