Diagnose and treat patients with blood disorders and cancers while developing comprehensive care plans with interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities include supervising chemotherapy, performing bone marrow biopsies, and managing oncologic emergencies.
Requires an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and an active medical license in Missouri. Candidates must be board-certified with clinical experience in Hematology Oncology.

As a Locum Hematologist Oncologist, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with blood disorders and cancers, providing compassionate care to enhance patient outcomes. Provide expert diagnosis and treatment for hematologic and oncologic conditions Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans Conduct patient consultations and follow-ups Perform necessary procedures and treatments as required Participate in patient education regarding treatment options and health management Document patient care activities in electronic medical records Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care and service delivery Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with advancements in hematology oncology
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school Active medical license in the state of Missouri Experience in Hematology Oncology, preferably in a clinical setting Strong diagnostic and treatment skills related to blood disorders and cancers Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment Commitment to continuing education and professional growth
Schedule: 12-hour inpatient shifts or 4 to 8-hour outpatient shifts
Average Inpatient Volume: 5
Average Outpatient Volume: 10-20
Split hematology and medical oncology case load
Chemotherapy supervision/orders, bone marrow biopsies/aspirations, management of oncologic emergencies, and genetic testing/ counseling coordination
Support Staff: Oncology pharmacist, oncology RN, nurse navigator
Available Resources: On-site infusion center & radiation therapy
Will supervise APPs
Must be board-certified
