- We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual for a Float Medical Assistant position in Tennessee.
- This position will support our Hendersonville, Chattanooga, and Murfreesboro clinic locations.
- The role requires flexibility and a willingness to travel between locations as needed.
- A Medical Assistant is responsible for providing treatment to patients and creating a positive patient experience.
- This role also supports day-to-day lab operations, which must be completed with knowledge, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- The ideal candidate must be flexible with late hours and some weekends, have a friendly attitude, and enjoy interacting with providers and patients.
- Basic computer skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual vitals, routine blood draws, and administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections per the provider’s request.
- Maintain lab equipment, documentation of lab results, and quality controls.
- Run labs in-house or prepare labs to be sent to another facility with the proper orders for each patient.
- Complete weekly inventory, ordering, and communication as needed.
- Assist with front desk duties when needed.
- Maintain a strong work ethic and a positive, patient-focused attitude.
Requirements
- / Certifications
- Must be flexible and willing to travel between the Hendersonville, Franklin, and Murfreesboro clinic locations as needed.
- Physical proof of high school diploma or GED required.
- Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certification preferred.
- Must have a minimum of 3 months of relevant work experience in a medical setting or documented completion of 180 externship hours.
- Ability to perform venipuncture and intramuscular/subcutaneous injections preferred.
- Must pass a background check.
- Must be flexible with clinic hours, including late shifts and up to 3 Saturdays per month. When you work a Saturday, you will have a weekday off.
