Work setting: a short-term acute care facility with Level II NICU support. Local travelers with permanent residence within 50 miles are not eligible for travel assignments.

Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients, plus postpartum and newborn care, in a high-acuity obstetric setting
Monitor labor progress, fetal status, and maternal vitals; administer medications and IV therapy; manage pain relief as ordered
Support cesarean deliveries as circulating nurse and assist with postpartum recovery and newborn stabilization
Perform postpartum/couplet care and assess for potential complications; educate patients and families on care plans and discharge needs
Collaborate with Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Services, Interpreters, and Rapid Response teams; participate in interdisciplinary rounds and ensure patient safety and quality outcomes
Document accurately in the electronic charting system (EPIC); adhere to infection control and safety protocols; coordinate with NICU as needed
Requirements
Active RN license in Washington or pending license accepted (preference for quick start)
Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Cesarean experience (first-timers accepted)
Relevant clinical skills: labor management, C-section circulation, postpartum/couplet care, IV starts
EPIC charting experience; ability to float to like units, including Labor/Delivery and related care areas
Ability to work in a 24/7 obstetric environment; orientation and pre-start modules completed prior to start
