Maintain the respiratory and cardiac status of patients recovering from anesthesia through continuous assessment and execution of physician orders. Provide direct nursing care, manage medication administration, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to update treatment plans.
Requires a Registered Nurse (RN) license, BLS certification, and ACLS certification. An associate degree in nursing is required, while a bachelor's degree and perianesthesia certification (CPAN/CAPA) are preferred.
This position maintains adequate respiratory and cardiac status of patients awakening from anesthesia. Continually assesses the patient, carries out doctor's orders while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
