The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for collecting blood, urine, throat, and nasal specimens while ensuring proper patient identification and specimen integrity. They also handle the registration of laboratory tests and perform specialized drug and alcohol screenings.
A high school diploma and phlebotomy certification are preferred for this role. Candidates must possess strong critical thinking skills and the ability to navigate multiple software systems in a stressful environment.
