Behavioral Health Technician

Clinical

• Provide direct support to clients during treatment programming, including peer support, transportation, and engagement within scope of the BHT role. Monitor client progress and report any behavioral changes, concerns, or clinical needs to the treatment team. Assist in the coordination and implementation of individualized treatment plans. Collaborate with the clinical team to support treatment goals and adjust plans as needed. Ensure client safety and well-being by enforcing center policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation in compliance with organizational standards. Conduct drug screenings and monitor clients for any signs of substance use. Provide crisis intervention as necessary, ensuring a safe environment. Provide individual case management services to support client engagement, retention, and compliance with treatment services. Assist clients in understanding program expectations and treatment participation requirements. Support clients in navigating treatment systems, scheduling, and documentation platforms. Document all services in accordance with Medicaid, Ohio Department of Behavioral Health, and agency policies.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) training program or equivalent is preferred. 1-2 years of experience in a behavioral health or substance use treatment setting. Current CPR and First Aid certification required (or ability to obtain). Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other relevant laws and regulations.
