Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to adult and pediatric patients in the ER, across a fast-paced, high-turnover environment.
• Triage incoming patients and prioritize care based on acuity; administer medications and treatments as ordered; monitor patient response.
• Observe and interpret vital signs and cardiac monitor data; recognize and respond to deteriorating conditions promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians, technicians, social work and behavioral health staff to coordinate rapid evaluation and disposition.
• Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes in the electronic health record; communicate changes to the care team.
• Maintain patient safety, infection control, and trauma activation protocols; assist with rapid interventions and patient stabilization as needed.

Requirements

• Active Hawaii registered nurse license by start date
• Eligibility to fulfill Hawaii licensure requirements and comply with pre-employment processes
• Ability to work Nights: 3x12-hour shifts
• ER nursing environment readiness; ability to work in a 28-bed ER with trauma bays, behavioral health rooms, and cardiac monitoring
• Must arrive the Thursday before start date to complete employee health appointment and orientation
• Previous ER nursing experience preferred or indicated by Job Notes
