Job description

LPN - Emergency Department\n\n * 30-bed Emergency Care Unit\n * Rapid paced, high acuity unit with 155 visits per day; > 55,000 annual visits\n * ACLS, PALS, and EKG provided\n * An orientation program facilitated by a Clinical Educator, focused on\n Emergency Nursing especially for the novice nurse\n * Emergency Nursing Association (ENA) orientation curriculum offered (online)\n * Part time (26 hours biweekly)\n * Shift: 12 hour Evening \n * Every third weekend\n * Eligible for shift and weekend differential\n\nPosition Function: The Licensed Practical Nurse functions as an integral part\nof the patient care team by providing and being accountable for direct patient\ncare under the supervision of the registered nurse. The LPN III role includes\nIV therapy and reflects the full scope of the practice as outlined in the 1990\nand future revisions / additions of the PA Practical Nurse Law. Included is\nrecognition and treatment of the physical and psychosocial changes unique to the\nage/population group served on the specific unit.
