The Medical Assistant provides clinical and administrative support within a cardiology clinic, including patient intake and vital signs. They are also responsible for maintaining medical records, sterilizing instruments, and managing insurance authorizations.
A high school diploma or GED and basic EMR/Microsoft Office knowledge are required, with BLS certification needed shortly after hire. Preference is given to graduates of accredited MA programs, certified CMAs/RMAs, or EMTs/Paramedics.
