Perform a variety of waived, moderately complex, and highly complex laboratory testing procedures across multiple departments. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining instrumentation, performing quality assurance, and ensuring accurate, timely results for patients.
As a key member of the laboratory team, the Medical Laboratory Scientist performs a wide range of waived, moderately complex, and highly complex testing procedures in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards.
This role requires strong technical expertise, independent judgment, and a commitment to delivering accurate, timely results with minimal supervision and will work within a generalist scope in a variety of departments.
Responsibilities include operating, maintaining, validating, and troubleshooting laboratory instrumentation and equipment; performing quality control, proficiency testing, and quality assurance activities; and recognizing and responding to factors that may affect test accuracy and reliability.
The Medical Laboratory Scientist identifies abnormal or unexpected results, supports the implementation of new testing methodologies, and may participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.
This position serves patients across all age groups and is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service while promoting patient safety and a culture of quality.

Schedule Details: Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks Day and evening rotation position Start and end times fluctuate between 5:30am-7:00am start and 2:00-2:30pm Every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Bachelor’s degree with necessary science/math credits as required and verified by the ASCP Board of Certification (BOC) required New Graduate’s degree must be validated within 2 months post-graduation ASCP-BOC certified within 6-months, with first exam completed within 3-months of hire.
